USA gives viewers a lump of coal for Christmas

The USA Network cancels “The Dead Zone” and “The 4400.” Now there’s absolutely nothing to watch on the USA Network.  hehe  Viewers are a little ticked off because that means there’s no way the shows can be wrapped up and the last episodes were way back in September.

VH1 has a few new shows and some oldies coming back next month (aka January).  Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew premieres January 10 at 10 pm.  Rock of Love with Bret Michaels opens season two on January 13 at 9 pm with 20 new women vying for the rock musician’s heart.
Scott Baio is 46 . . . and Pregnant has the commitment-challenged star dealing with an upcoming marriage and fatherhood during season two which starts January 13 at 10 pm.
My Fair Brady . . . Maybe Baby? begins a third season January 20 at 1030 pm with married couple Chris Knight and Adrianne Curry contemplating adding a baby to the mix.  (You may remember Adrianne as the winner of ANTM Cycle 1)  The network will also air the Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Critics’ Choice Awards live on January 7 at 9 pm.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live will return with new episodes starting January 2. In a statement released by the network, host Kimmel said “Though it makes me sick to do so without my writers, there are more than a hundred people whose financial well-being depends on our show. It is time to go back to work. I support my colleagues and friends in the WGA completely and hope this ends both fairly and soon.”  Meanwhile, Letterman’s WorldWide Pants continues to try to work a deal with the WGA so Letterman and Ferguson can return on January 2 with writers.

Tonight’s Finale: NBC: Journeyman at 10 pm
