CBS’ Spring Schedule

December 4, 2007 at 12:33 pm (babbling, Entertainment, TV) (, , , , )

CBS announced its schedule for new and returning primetime series in January and February:

Jan 2: Power of 10 at 8 pm
Jan 13, 15 and 16: Comanche Moon (miniseries Parts 1, 2 and 3) at 9 pm
Jan 28: The Captain at 830 pm (starring Jeffrey Tambor) and The New Adventures of Old Christine at 930 pm
Feb 7: Survivor 16 at 8 pm
Feb 12: Big Brother 9 at 9 pm and Jericho at 10 pm

Personally I’m glad Jericho finally has a premiere date for Season 2.  In fact I hope it rocks the socks off Sweeps in which it’s premiering right in time for.

From Cynopsis this morning “Law & Order returns to NBC’s schedule as of Wednesday, January  2, with a special two hour episode beginning at 9pm. Thereafter, it will air at 10p, with L&O: Criminal Intent as its lead-in. Cast changes abound this season (so what else is new?) beginning with ADA Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) getting bounced up to the DA’s office, and the additions of Linus Roache as the new ADA and Jeremy Sisto as a new detective. ”

Tonight’s Premieres – Telemundo: Victoria at 9 pm
Oxygen: The Bad Girls Club at 10 pm and The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency at 1030 pm
Tonight’s Finales – BET: Sunday Best at 8 pm, and College Hill: Interns at 10 pm
The CW: Beauty and the Geek at 8 pm

The WGA and the AMPTP are back at the negotiation table today.  The AMPTP has a contract on the table and now the WGA is probably counter offering.  This thing could wrap up sooner than I thought and has probably been triggered by the Director’s offering to come to the bargaining table early (before their contract is up this spring).

Spoilers on Last night’s Heroes in case you haven’t seen it yet.  I am going to say what happened.

In other news I was sorely disappointed in Heroes mid Season finale last night.  I was hopeful because the show creator, Kring had admitted things were wrong with the show and he was going to fix them in last night’s episode.  It let me down and smashed me on my head.  The more I think about it, the more angry I get.

The way they had West and Claire break up – LAME.

The way Noah told Claire he was still alive – stupid.

Burying Adam in a coffin – RETARDED.  Seriously.  He can regenerate, so he can dig himself out.  LAME

And the Sylar story line – KILL HIM.  He’s become whiny and lame and you have WAY COOLER VILLAINS NOW.   UGHHHHHHHHH.  HATE IT.  Seriously Angelia is a far better villain (Peter & Nathan’s mom).

The way they killed Niki – LAME.

The way they had Noah shoot Nathan – LAME.  Serious, why doesn’t Peter use his blood to fix Nathan? Or go find Claire.

I could keep going. But I’m too ticked.  What did you all think of it??

  1. Cynthia said,

I’m REALLY sick of Sylar and disappointed that they didn’t just kill him off last season. He plays one note over and over and over and over…. and doesn’t even play it all that well.

Elle is boring and immature. What’s with all the Daddy issues on the show (Matt, Claire, Elle…)? Need to talk about something, Tim Kring?

By the way, last season, a future – and very cool – Hiro came back to visit. When does Hiro get to make that transition. He’s very cute and cuddly right now, but the future Hiro was pretty awesome.

In fairness to Tim, I did hear that he had quickly written this episode before the strike hit so as to not leave us all hanging, so kudos to him for that. More than some other shows did for their fans…
